A 22-year-old man from Sheffield in South Yorkshire has admitted that he may have placed his hand on his best friend’s shoulder following the sudden death of the friend’s mother.
Toby Ramsbotham, a print worker and father of five, told a local newspaper:
“Even now, I’m not sure that I did it. I’ve gone over it in my mind a thousand times. If I did put my hand on his shoulder I can only hope that it was done so lightly that he didn’t notice. He certainly didn’t say anything at the time. Mind you, he was pretty upset about losing his mum. He didn’t even stay in the pub to finish his pint. I just hope he didn’t leave because he thought I was gaying him up”
This latest incident comes just two weeks after an electrician from Barnsley admitted that, in a moment of weakness, he might have drawn a love heart inside his girlfriend’s birthday card.
